Scanner Suggestions?

Sun Aug 23, 2009, 7:30 PM
Hi friends :)

I'm hoping those of you who scan your art (and preferably use colored pencils, markers, and the like) can maybe suggest what scanners you use. I've just had it with mine, it's pretty old, and its software won't work with Vista so I use very primitive scanning software I can't really adjust anything with. And even using Photoshop to make the colors more true won't help, most colors are so light it can't even grab those and make them darker.

So what do you use? I'm hoping to get this as a birthday gift but still don't want to break the bank with a high price. I'd prefer one that just grabs the image and I don't have to tweak it too much. I want what I see to be what I get ^^

Thanks everyone!!!

my art teacher has Epison Twain (or something along those lines) at the school, but i don't know how much it cost....

i'm sure most scanners have settings you can put to brighten/darken the picture so you don't have to do it later, but i don't know how to put those settings on there

sorry not much help :( </3
